Dear colleague, dear friends,

The past 2009 was born the European Society of Robotic Gynaecological Surgery (SERGS) and with it the first of our meetings in Milan.

Many years after, Barcelona has been the chosen venue to host our meeting, just midway between innovation and maturity of robotic surgery. Beyond describing the technique and main indications, we are able to show objective results and even compare with the standard laparoscopic way.

To do this, we have scheduled a lot of live surgery, laparoscopic vs. robotic simultaneously. We have incorporated a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach, ranging from auxiliary devices (vessel sealers, uterine manipulators, trocars and insufflators) to the development of training programs, costs and efficiency, complications or new technologic developments.

We intend to involve all our active members, directly in official presentations from the most relevant contributions and facilitating the exchange of techniques and opinions in comprehensive round tables and video surgery debates.

Barcelona is a warm, modern, cosmopolitan and beautiful city. Definitely you will be in the best framework to share a few days of innovation, science and friendship.
